Night Sky with satellite transitting. 3/9/2011 Tuzigoot National Monument in the lower right, sky glow of Sedona, Arizona on the horizon at right, glow of Flagstaff, Arizona on the left. The Big Dipper (Ursa major) is on the right, handle down, scoop open to the left, occupying about 1/2 the height of the picture. Polaris, the North Star is slightly above dead center on the photo. In the original (which you can see by hovering over this image and selecting X2 or larger), you can count about 3500 stars. I love the Arizona night sky! Canon 5DMkII, Canon 16-35/2.8 at asa 400, 2.8, 30 seconds.
